Warehouse Worker – Order Picking with Scanner

We are looking for women and men to work in a new warehouse in Mszczonów. You pick orders with a handheld scanner: small, light products such as phone cases, jewellery and accessories. No experience is required, and we teach you how to use the scanner on site. Transport to the warehouse is free.

What the job involves

You stock products on shelves, then pick orders and prepare them for shipping. You do all of the work with a handheld scanner: the scanner shows a photo of the product, confirms that you have picked the right item, and guides you along the shortest route through your part of the warehouse. Each worker is assigned a few nearby shelves, so you do not need to walk across the whole hall.

It is light work, but it requires accuracy. The client counts every picking error. Tasks are shown and explained by a person who speaks Polish.

Working hours and days

We work two 12-hour shifts: day 06:00–18:00 and night 18:00–06:00. The rhythm is 2 days, 2 nights and 2 days off, which is about 20–21 shifts a month. Each shift includes a one-hour break, of which 30 minutes is paid, so you are paid for 11.5 hours per shift, or about 230–240 paid hours a month. You will find your shifts, days off and a calendar to add to your phone in the shift schedule.

Shifts from the schedule are mandatory. On your days off you can take an additional shift, provided there are at least 11 hours of rest before your next scheduled shift. Working only at weekends is possible depending on available places; you arrange it with the recruiter.

You confirm your attendance for the next day the day before. Without confirmation you will not be allowed onto the shift.

First day

You receive your own ID number, which you use to log in on the scanner. You sign the attendance list when you arrive and when you leave.

Pay and bonuses

• 31.40 zł gross for every hour worked
• Up to 2100 zł gross in attendance bonuses over the year, awarded quarterly
• Start bonus: 500 zł gross one-off for October, if you start work by 30 September and work at least 24 days in October (about 80% of the days in the month). Shifts from the schedule and additional shifts on days off count. Details in the bonus regulations
• Bonuses are calculated separately from the hourly rate and are not part of it
• Civil law contract (umowa zlecenie) with Veln

We are also looking for a shift leader

If you speak Polish well, ideally also English, and can pass information from management on to a group, mention it in your application. The shift leader works at a higher rate, which we set individually.

Getting there

A free bus takes you to every shift from Warsaw (Central Station), Pruszków, Grodzisk Mazowiecki and Żyrardów. If you commute by your own car, we contribute to your transport costs.

What you need

• Accuracy and readiness to work at a fast pace for the whole shift
• Your own water bottle or cup, which stays in the locker room
• For the first day: fully closed shoes with a flat sole (no platforms, wedges or heels) and long trousers
• Aged 18 or over
• No experience required
• Knowledge of Polish is not a requirement

Warehouse rules

Safety footwear and a high-visibility vest are required for the whole shift. On your first day, come in fully closed shoes with a flat sole (sports, trekking or work shoes) and long trousers. Shoes with platforms, wedges or heels, flip-flops and sandals are not allowed: protective overshoes cannot be put on over them, and you will not be admitted to the hall without them. Drinking alcohol is prohibited on the premises.
